 Decided to make some Ravioli for dinner last night, this was my first attempt at Ravioli, and it turned out really well.  Definitely want to play with some more fillings, and some different types. I made the pasta with basil from my herb garden, and used a 5 cheese filling that I modified by adding some spinach.  The pasta was just a little bit to salty, I added a little to much salt in the water bath.  But overall the flavor, texture and everything else was really good!

 I think my last post was in 2014, so it's been a minute.  I've decided looking back over my blog that the historical context of my life is worth recording, so I'm going to start posting again, not that anyone in particular will read it, but maybe it will provide some context for what is going on in my life.

I'm not going to try to "Catch Up" but may include some past items that were missed, we'll see what happens, but the plan is to start from now. and move forward.

We are getting ready to wrap up Summer, and have started harvesting the last of the Garden, I purchased a new food dehydrator (our old one was done) and have started drying all the herbs, and some of the vegetables that lend themselves well to drying.  So far I've dried the Basil, Dill and Oregano, and still have 3 or 4 more herbs that I need to do.  It's nice to have fresh dried herbs in my Spice Cabinet...
